FBR Tax on iPhone 15
The eagerly anticipated iPhone 15 series has finally been released, which means that any Pakistani who purchases the smartphone must pay FBR Tax in order to use it there. The most recent FBR Tax on the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max to receive PTA Approval in Pakistan is mentioned in this post.
It is pertinent to mention that the Federal Board of Revenue places Taxes on Mobile Phones in order to get Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) approval, which allows use of the smartphone in the country beyond a 60-day period, otherwise the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is blocked for use on local networks.
Note: It bears mentioning that Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) does not decide on the Taxes and Duties to be paid for mobile phone imports into Pakistan as Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) decides on the matter and PTA is just responsible for maintaining DIRBS.
iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro & 15 Pro Max FBR Tax For PTA Approval in Pakistan
Device | Tax on Passport (PKR) | Tax on CNIC (PKR) |
---|---|---|
iPhone 15 | 107,325 | 130,708 |
iPhone 15 PLUS | 113,075 | 137,033 |
iPhone 15 Pro | 122,275 | 147,153 |
iPhone 15 Pro Max | 131,130 | 156,893 |
The Pro and Pro Max versions have the highest taxes due to their high cost, and these are the most recent mobile FBR Tax on iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, Pro, and Pro Max for PTA Approval in Pakistan.
However, any Pakistani traveling from abroad who is staying for less than 120 days can now just utilize the PTA’s Temporary Registration System (TRS) and a mobile device while they are there. They must, however, pay the FBR Tax if they intend to remain longer in order to keep using their equipment.
