
Breaking News: Mastung Suicide Blast Several Martyred and Injured
In another incident to take place today, at least 45 people have died and more than 90 have been injured in a suicide blast at a mosque in Mastung, Balochistan.
Nawaz Gashkori, the deputy superintendent of police (DSP) for Mastung, was reportedly one of those killed in the suicide bombing.
The bomber detonated himself next to the DSP Gashkori’s car, according to the police, who have confirmed that it was a “suicide blast.”
All the local hospitals have declared an emergency, and rescue personnel are working to assist the casualties.
To adjacent hospitals, the injured have been sent.
Security personnel immediately surrounded the scene of the explosion and began gathering evidence.
Jan Achakzai, the interim information minister for Balochistan, reported that patients with significant injuries were being flown to Quetta for care.
Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, the interim chief minister, sharply denounced the act on X, formerly known as Twitter, and expressed his sorrow for the lives lost.
This was one of two incidents that took place in Pakistan today; the other was a suicide bombing at a mosque in the Hangu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that left at least four people dead and numerous others injured.
