
Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan’s cricket team, has received the nation’s highest civil honour in celebration of his outstanding contributions.
The 28-year-old right-handed batter is the youngest cricketer to get the Sitara-e-Imtiaz award for outstanding performance in the sport.
As part of the celebrations for Pakistan Day, Punjab Governor Baligh Ur Rehman presented the flamboyant batter with the civil award during an investiture event held at the Governor House.
